Sürünen Parite Sisteminin Kasım 2000 Ve Şubat 2001 Krizlerindeki Rolü: Ekonometrik Bir Yaklaşım

Abstract

Bu çalışma, Kasım 2000 ve Şubat 2001 krizleri ile bu dönemde uygulanan sürünen parite sistemi arasındaki ilişkiyi probit model yardımıyla ampirik olarak analiz etmeyi amaçlamaktadır. Bu amaçla oluşturulan regresyonda, sabit kur gölge değişkenin de içerisinde yer aldığı toplam 12 makro ekonomik ve finansal değişkene yer verilmiştir. Yapılan ekonometrik testler sonucunda cari açık/GSYİH, ithalat/döviz rezervi, kısa vadeli dış borç/döviz rezervi, M2/döviz rezervi, bankacılık kesimi dış yükümlülükleri büyüme oranı, portföy yatırımları/GSYİH ve diğer yatırımlar/GSYİH oranıyla kriz arasında bir ilişkinin olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Ayrıca, sabit kur kukla değişkeni de anlamlı ve kriz ile pozitif yönde ilişkili çıkmıştır. Diğer bir ifadeyle, 2000 yılında döviz kurunun sabitlenmesi, söz konusu dönemde kriz olasılığını artıran önemli bir unsur olduğu sonucuna varılmıştır.
