2000’Li Yıllarda Türk Otomotiv Sektörü

Abstract

Otomotiv sektörü bugün ana sanayinde üretiminin yaklaşık % 73 ihrac eden Türkiye’nin ikinci büyük ihracatcı sektörü haline gelmiştir. Son on yılda ekonomik dalgalanmalara bağlı olarak inişli çıkışlı bir büyüme gösteren sektör, iç talebin yetersiz olduğu dönemlerde dış pazara yönelmiş ve hızlı bir ihracat ivmesi kazanmıştır. Gümrük Birliği sürecinde çok önemli miktarda yabancı doğrudan yatırım alan sektör, iş gücü verimliliği ve maliyetleri, ve sermayenin katma değer içindeki payı açısından birçok ‘eski üreticiler’ göre avantajlı durumdadir. Fakat dünya otomotiv pazarları gelişmekte olan ülke üreticileri için zor rekabet koşulları içermediği göz önüne alınırsa, büyük ihracat atılımı yapan sektörün, halen OECD ülkelerinin ithalatları içindeki payının çok küçük olmasının ve belirleyici bir pazar gücüne sahip olmamasının nedenleri anlaşılabilir. Dünyada büyük otomotiv fi rmaları ülkelere dağılmış üretim-teknoloji-dağıtım ağları çerçevesinde, büyük ölçek ekonomileri ile üretim yapmaktadır ve Türkiye’nin ihracat potansiyeli için bu fi rmalar ile kurulacak stratejik ortaklıklar çok önemli bir faktör olarak gözükmektedir.
