Türkiye''de Politika Değişkenliği İle Ekonomik Büyüme Arasındaki Nedensellik İlişkileri 1986-2001

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı, Türkiye’de 1986-2001 dönemi için, reel üretim artış oranı ile politika değişkenliği arasındaki nedensellik ilişkilerinin araştırılmasıdır. Politik istikrarsızlığın bir göstergesi olan politika değişkenliği, faiz oranı farkı ve nominal döviz kuru artış oranı ile temsil edilmektedir. Söz konusu değişkenlerin seçiminde, Türkiye ekonomisinin analiz dönemindeki kendine özgü koşullarının yanısıra yatırımcıların yatırım projelerine yönelik davranışları da dikkate alınmıştır. Çalışmanın sonuçları, ekonomik büyüme oranındaki düşüşün faiz oranı farkı ve nominal döviz kuru değişim oranındaki değişkenliği artırdığını göstermektedir. Bu sonuç, ilgili literatürde istisnai bir durum olan ters nedensellik ilişkisinin Türkiye ekonomisinde geçerli olduğu anlamına gelmektedir.
