Bipolar Bozukluğa Sahip Bireylerin Romantik İlişkilerinin İncelenmesi: Fenomonolojik Bir çalışma

Abstract

Bipolar bozukluğa sahip kişilerin romantik ilişkiyi nasıl deneyimlediklerini incelemek amacıyla gerçekleştirilen araştırma, fenomonolojik desen üzerine yapılandırılmıştı ve nitel araştırma yaklaşımı çerçevesinde görüşme tekniği kullanılmıştır. Veriler tematik analiz ile incelenmiştir. İnceleme sırasında yorumlama ve çıkarımlarda bulunma yolları ile derinlemesine analiz yapılmıştır. Araştırma, amaçlı örnekleme yöntemi kullanılarak ulaşılan 23-38 yaş, 4’ü kadın, 2’si erkek, 2’si evli, 4’ü sevgililik döneminde olan toplamda 6 bipolar bozukluğa sahip birey ile yürütülmüştür. Veri toplama aracı olarak yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu kullanılmıştır. Olguya ait beş tema bulunmuştur: Duygusal yakınlık ihtiyacının kesintiye uğraması, düzenli ilaç ve psikoterapinin sağaltıcı gücü, bir suçlu varsa o da ‘’benim’’, duyarlı partnerin hastalık ve ilişki seyrine olumlu etkisi, dalgalı bir denizde hayatta kalmak. Duygu düzenleme güçlüğüne bağlı artan kaygı semptomları, depresif duygulara etki ettiği kadar duygusal yakınlığı sekteye uğratmaktadır. Duyarlı partner, düzenli ilaç kullanımı ve psikoterapi desteği ilişkinin ve hastalığın seyrini olumlu etkilemektedir. Kişilerin tartışma esnasında kendilerini suçlu görmeye meyilli oldukları sonucuna varılmıştır.
