An Overview Of The European Wheat Market And Its Ranking In The Global Outlook

Abstract

This article analyzes the main drivers of the international wheat market, thus identifying its characteristics in the last three agricultural seasons. Our analysis also provides a forecast for the next period (2019-2020). The research is based on an exploration of the fundamentals of the world wheat market in the main producing, consuming, importing and exporting countries, and using data from widely recognized databases.In our analysis a special attention is given to the evolution of the wheat market in the European Union (28) in order to achieve a clear positioning of the EU in the world market of this cereal product.
