Abstract

Since early 1990s, the EU has developed and intensified the political, economic and trade relationship with Ukraine - a priority partner within the European Neighbourhood Policy and the Eastern Partnership. As a consequence EU is committed to enhance the cooperation with Ukraine in order to ensure a stable, prosperous and democratic future for this country while maintaining a closer relationship that encompasses political association and economic integration.Since 2014, the EU has stepped up its efforts to support the comprehensive process of economic and political reforms in Ukraine, creating the necessary premises in advancing toward a new stage of bilateral relations development by signing of an Association Agreement (AA). The Agreement is the main tool for bringing Ukraine and EU together and promotes deeper political ties, stronger economic links and the respect for common values.
