Participation In Lifelong Learning In The Eu

Author

Abstract

Increasing people's participation in lifelong learning (LLL) is one of the objectives of the Europe 2020, the EU’s a agenda for growth and jobs.Currently, at the EU28 level, the share of the population (15-64 years) participating in LLL is 10.9%. To achieve the 15% target of the Europe 2020 Strategy, an annual average increase of 11% over the next three years would be needed – an unrealistical pace from several considerations, as revealed by the analysis of the current situation and developments over the last decade, presented shortly in this paper.
