Research of the possibilities and results of the implementation of the principles of the green economy using Industry 4.0 technologies on the example of the utility sector

Abstract

The results of a study of the possibilities of introducing the principles of a green economy based on the application of Industry 4.0 technologies. The trend of deterioration of the quality of the environment for the population is proved. Various information and communication technologies have been studied from the point of view of the possibility of their application in the urban environment to improve the quality of life of people and the environment. The potential advantages of their implementation are revealed, considering the achieved results of their partial use by the advanced countries of the world. The use of the smart city concept for the transition to a green economy model in the public sector is proposed. A balanced assessment model is proposed, which is based on considering the interests of all stakeholders in terms of their economic, social, and environmental results and the innovativeness of the proposed solutions.
