Abstract

The present study aims to conduct systematic literature review (SLR) on employee creativity, organisational citizenship behaviour (OCB). Further, it also examines the past, present and future research directions in this research area. The literature was accessed through the Scopus search technique and eight steps of the SLR approach were applied followed by content analysis to select 51 research papers. The findings revealed that OCB with employee creativity is essential for forging bonds with both employers and employees and attaining both the organisation's financial and non-financial goals. This study contributes to the understanding of the theoretical model that can be used to inspire further study. We developed a theory by posing practically novel research problems, highlighting the constraints of our study, and providing practical consequences for researchers. The antecedents and consequences of OCB and employee creativity are also presented. The future research dimensions are discussed and presented.
