Abstract

Software Release Time Problems is a well known domain in the field of Software Optimisation. To determine when to stop testing and release software becomes one of the important decision for management. In real life the developers can only make ambiguous estimates on the available resources and their aspirations bringing uncertainty (fuzziness) in the problem formulation. In this paper, we have formulated a fuzzy bi-criterion release time problem optimising the two conflicting cost minimisation and reliability maximisation objectives under budgetary constraint. Fuzzy optimisation technique is discussed to solve such problem with numerical illustration.
