Abstract

Today's rapid urban sprawls around the world bring up great challenges to the whole environment, especially to the urban natural resources. The purpose of this paper is to decrease or relieve the pollution and unwise use of natural resources, specifically in the suburb, to save them from crises and to conserve natural resources from urbanisation and industrialisation. The authors propose an approach for urban sustainable development, by giving an example of Planning of Southern Suburb in the City of Jiangyin where diverse natural factors are located, with the feature of a damaged wetland. The purpose of this paper is to develop a crucial idea of strategic system, to examine a new approach oriented on eco-factors which includes an assessment model and a conservation framework, and to discuss some measures coordinated with relative urban factors.
