Abstract

In this paper, a new model based on robust data envelopment analysis (DEA) with fuzzy perturbation is presented to measure efficiency of decision making units (DMUs). One of the primary concerns on any DEA model is to handle uncertainty in the input and output data. The proposed model of this paper considers fuzzy uncertainties for both input and output data by introducing an efficient fuzzy robust DEA (FRDEA) where the level of uncertainty is a fuzzy number and decision maker (DM) can easily determine it. The resulting FRDEA is formulated as a non-linear programming and a parametric model is incorporated to solve the model. The proposed FRDEA model is used for a set of gas distribution companies and the results are analysed.
