Abstract

Enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems are tools used by organisations to better manage their data and therefore, their resources. When deploying an ERP project, the stage of selection is of great importance, since appropriate selection increases the chances of success. The aim of this work is to conduct a review of the recent scientific literature on ERP selection, focused on small and medium enterprises. In carrying out this effort, scientific texts were divided in four major groups: methodological proposals, case studies, micro-sociological studies and critical success factors.
