Abstract

Financial inclusion is one of the most significant objectives for inclusive growth. It refers to ensuring that the broadest possible swaths of society have access to the full range of financial products, including banking, insurance, credit and payment options. The government initiative (GI), which was introduced on August 15, 2014, is the largest mission. There are 200 participants in the study, which is focused on two rural states of India viz. Punjab and Haryana. This article compares and evaluates the degree of rural areas in Punjab and Haryana rural areas' awareness of GI. The study also looks at the level of benefit-wise awareness that bank accounts opened under GI provide. To check the equality of the two sample variances, F-test has been used in this study. We can learn about the advantages of creating a bank account through this study. It will encourage more users of the bank account.
