Abstract

Electric vehicles are those that are powered with the help of batteries. The main reason for the emergence of electric vehicles is due to the sense of conservation of the environment. These cars reduce the emission of greenhouse gases by moving to more renewable sources of energy. Though electric vehicles have penetrated in many countries, it is yet not that widespread in India. The mindset of people needs to be analysed in order to predict whether the electric vehicle industry will have a boom in India. The survey mainly concentrates to figure out whether India is ready for electric vehicles and to analyse the various features such as demographic features, performance features and environmental concerns that act as the deciding factor for the purchase of electric vehicles in India. Through this study, it can be concluded which is the most important feature that affects the purchasing decision.
