Insights into the transformation of multinational managers into global managers

Abstract

Emerging markets, and especially transitional countries' markets, represent a major challenge for global enterprises in view of their specific situation resulting from interaction of numerous factors. Many global enterprises have recognised the potential of human resources and its management as a means of differentiation and, therefore, this paper aims to highlight the importance of developing and implementing practices in the area of international human resource management, particularly with regard to global management, as the key factor in achieving success in the emerging countries' markets.
