Astley Bank and Savoiaa – a comparative case study analysis of entrepreneurship in the hospitality industry in relation to the UK and Italy

Abstract

New innovative practices have to be considered now within the hospitality industry, as the industry is attracting a more diverse and demanding customer. This comparative case study focuses on two independently owned businesses within the hospitality industry. Primarily, it details the core lines of business that are being operated and then focuses on how entrepreneurship can be mismanaged. By identifying the business lines of each of these and analysing their competition, this case will show that staying static with an innovative idea can eventually lead to a company's demise.
