Abstract

This research seeks to understand how internal promotion strategies impact the retention of human talent in Salvadoran companies. The results have been obtained from the perceptions held by workers in the formal sector of the Salvadoran economy. The objective of this research effort is focused on assessing how the design and implementation of internal promotion strategies by Salvadoran organisations impacts the interest and motivation of the country's workers to pursue a career in the organisation in which they currently work. In addition, work has been carried out to analyse secondary sources, with the purpose of identifying best practices that have been designed and implemented by leading organisations worldwide in the field, to serve as an example for companies in the country.
