Abstract

Companies have to focus on their improvements have results in the maintenance management of physical assets and productive systems for which optimal preventive maintenance through engineering adjustments on machines using advanced manufacturing techniques (AMT) like design of experiments (DOE), total productive maintenance (TPM) and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) are used. The researchers have not yet explored the infusing advanced manufacturing techniques in automotive tyre tube valve manufacturing industry, in order to explore in this direction the author tries to detect and control of non-uninformed threads of automotive tyre tube valve component in thread rolling process. The rejection samples and route cause for the same are obtained on the basis of experiments and apply DOE to process through which rejections of non-uninformed threads on tube valve can detect easily, which leads to increase the productivity and reduces lead time in the whole process.
