Enterprise resource planning systems implementation: a literature analysis

Author

Abstract

Enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems have become a vital application and are adopted by business to manage their operations and resources. But ERP implementation faces several key challenges such as processes reengineering, IT infrastructure, change management, integration, etc. During the past few years, ERP implementation has resulted in an increase in the volume of literature devoted to it. We decided, therefore, to analyse the literature with the aim of identifying various aspects in its implementation and the methodologies most often applied. This paper, thus, provides a review of articles about ERP implementation published in most prestigious journals of the IS and management area.
