An exploratory study of the information security awareness of business school students in UAE

Abstract

The objective of this paper is to understand the status of information security awareness among business school students in the Middle East. Based on the literature review, the authors developed a questionnaire to understand the attitude of business college students about information security. Universities and companies, especially in the Middle East, can identify the awareness level of students. This is an ongoing work and needs a better understanding of how future-leaders of business look at this serious issue. Besides universities, firms must, therefore, manage these concerns and opportunities promptly. Overall, the empirical results show that the impact of technology and awareness coefficients is insignificant while students are comfortable answering technology and fraud related issues.
