Abstract

This paper purports to assess the adoption of low carbon and green supply chain management practices by the industrial supply chain sectors in India, which is inundated with manufacturing and service-oriented industries. The Indian organisations in both manufacturing and service-oriented sectors were sampled for empirical research study and structural equation modelling was used as a path analysis model to verify the hypothetical construction of the study. It was revealed in the research findings that low carbon and green supply chain management (LGSCM) practice is essentially a quality management initiative that requires bilateral efforts of the need and constraints for the integration of the whole supply chain along with the setting-up supplier evaluation methods ensuring sustainable environmental operations.
