Abstract

Indian Railways are considered as the lifeline of the nation wherein the government has been investing an appreciable part of their GDP for its improvement. To provide better services to the public, the work analyses the functional approach of two Indian railway ministers concerning the public. The study employs elbow technique to find the number of clusters and then latent Dirichlet allocation technique is utilised to identify the emerging themes in all the defined scenarios based on the tweets. The results of the study are expected to highlight major issues in Indian Railways during the tenure of above-mentioned ministers and how the government tackled the issues as evident from their tweets. The study aims to guide the policymakers in identifying suitable strategies to address the concerns and problematic areas for enhancing the operational performance of Indian Railways.
