Abstract

Munculnya krisis keuangan dan perbankan yang terjadi di suatu negara ditandai oleh beberapa indicator seperti tingginya kredit bermasalah, kesulitan likuiditas serta insolvensi dari lembaga keuangan maupun perbankan. Terdapat beberapa konsep yang menerangkan definisi krisis perbankan, pertama adalah penilaian terhadap negative net present value dari cashflow dan kedua adalah penilaian terhadap net worth dari lembaga keuangan atau perbankan. Apabila otoritas pengawasan perbankan dapat mengetahui secara akurat dan bahkan memprediksi tingkat solvency untuk masa yang akan datang akan sangat membantu dalam menentukan tindakan-tindakan yang harus diambil agar sistem perbankan selalu berada dalam kondisi solvent.
