Abstract

Employee turnover has been considered a main objective in human resource management. One of the primary concerns has been the study of the withdrawal process, the knowledge of which facilitates the design of human resource policies related with this behaviour. This paper analyzes the principal theoretical frameworks of the withdrawal process, from March and Simon's model to the more recent Lee and Mitchell's approach.
