This research conducts a comparative analysis of contingency factors, such as a process of professionalization, training, organizational culture, leadership and selection. The goal is to determine what affect the professionalization of family businesses in the manufacturing, services and trade industries of Tijuana, BC, Mexico. The importance of managing the entire organization to achieve professionalization, is through hiring managers from outside the family. To measure levels of professionalism those states or organizational conditions as contingency factors were examined. We propose a number of variables. Statistical analysis of the data, produces a scheme in which contingency factors that directly affect the professionalism shown were identified.
