Abstract

The Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) movement provides a counterweight to excessive profits of companies. The objective of this research was on providing a diagnosis of CSR practices carried out by companies in the city of Chihuahua, México. The hypothesis was that variables size of company and level of CSR are correlated. The methodology was based on a random survey of 455 small, medium, and large companies carried out in 2015. The measurement instrument used was the Pentadimensional Model of Business Sustainability (MOPSE). There exits limited on the situation of the CSR in Mexican companies. Results show that CSR level was 3,006 out of 5. This result corresponds to Level 3 of the MOPSE model. Likewise, positive correlation was found between size of the company and the level of compliance with CSR practices
