Abstract

University Social responsibility is a strategy to achieve a level of excellence and relevance in the work quality of higher education institutions. The goal is social transformation seeking to achieve sustainable development, beyond economic growth. The objective of this work is to analyze the perception and evaluation participation of groups of interest. We examine internal, and external social participation as the management of the University Social responsibility in the Autonomous University of Coahuila. The methodology is based on the theoretical and methodological bases developed by F. Valley. This methodology is applied to Latin American universities, with diagnosis and collective reflection. Data obtained were processed with descriptive statistical techniques. The results show the perceptions of teachers and students. Results reveal that integration of education with social projection is the most recognized aspect. The promotion of social networks for the development and participation active in local and national agenda of development is the least advantaged. The data obtained allowed for the reflection of internal and external agents by identifying critical points and proposing actions within the strategic objectives of the social responsibility of the university
