Methods and Pricing Tools Used in Banks' System

Abstract

The price plays a strategic role in the banking system, and a well-built pricing system allows to generate the desired amount of profit. The article is devoted to the disclosure of theoretical and methodical aspects of pricing in banks and the justification on this basis of the directions of perfection of pricing in the practical activity of domestic banking institutions. The essence of pricing for banking products and services is disclosed. The analysis of the dynamics of expenditures of domestic banks is carried out. Methods of pricing for banking products and services are systematized, and the peculiarities of application of each of them are determined. A review of the main tools that can be used to determine the price of banking services and products. It is revealed that the pricing policy of modern banks is characterized by the absence of a clearly expressed interdependence between the value of banking services and their price for customers. The achievement of certain goals of the bank is ensured by combining different methods and tools of pricing. In order to optimize the pricing process, domestic banks are encouraged to develop and approve the Provision on pricing, which will reveal the peculiarities of the application of methods and pricing tools adopted by the bank.
