Impacto de la gestión de calidad en el rendimiento organizacional de empresas bolivianas

Abstract

Este trabajo tiene como objetivo explorar el impacto de las prácticas de gestión de calidad en el rendimiento organizacional. Sobre la base de una encuesta aplicada a gerentes de calidad de 30 empresas bolivianas de diferente rubro y tamaño, se percibe que las organizaciones buscan la certificación ISO principalmente para mejorar su posición competitiva e incrementar la confiabilidad del producto/servicio. La certificación ISO por sÌ misma, no parece garantizar un mejor rendimiento en las empresas en términos de mejoras en el proceso productivo, resultados de la compañía, satisfacción de clientes y motivación del personal. Sin embargo, las empresas involucradas en gestión de calidad por razones de mejoramiento interno declaran mejores resultados de rendimiento que aquellas que buscan la certificación ISO solamente para mejorar la confiabilidad del producto/servicio o cumplir con las exigencias de los clientes.
