Mittelfristige Entwicklung der Arbeitsproduktivität im Handel : Tendenzen und betriebliche Maßnahmen

Abstract

"Die Firmen des Handels rechnen in allen Branchen für den Zeitraum 1983-87 mit einer Verlangsamung des jährlichen Produktivitätsfortschritts um etwa 1,5%-Punkte. Anders als üblich konnte jedoch im Handel als Maß für die Arbeitsproduktivität nicht auf die reale Produktionsleistung je Beschäftigtenstunde abgestellt werden, sondern auf den Pro-Kopf-Umsatz bei gleichbleibender Preisentwicklung, da der nominale Umsatz als die zentrale Leistungsgröße für Handelsunternehmen gilt. Aufgrund nur schwch expandierender Umsätze erwarten die Handelsfirmen im Zeitraum 1983-87 einen Personalabbau um insgesamt rd. 2% wobei die Unternehmen des Großhandels eine stärkere Personalreduzierung (rd. 3%) als die Einzelhandelsfirmen (rd. 1,5%) planen. Die Art und Rangstruktur der wichtigsten produktivitätsfördernden Maßnahmen bleiben im Zeitverlauf weitgehend konstant. Zu ihnen zählen z.B. "Erhöhung des Warenumschlags", "Optimierung der Warenbewirtschaftung", "verstärkter EDV-Einsatz", "Steigerung der Qualifikation", "Verbesserung der Lagertechnik"." (Autorenreferat)
