Risiko und Chance bei der Ausbildungs- und Berufswahl. Das IAB-Konzept zur differenzierten Information über Beschäftigungsaussichten

Abstract

"Bei jeder Wahlhandlung ist die differenzierte Information ("Checkliste") einer generalisierenden Empfehlung überlegen. Als Antwort auf die Forderungen der Beratungsdienst der Bundesanstalt für Arbeit nach Hilfen bei der Beratung über Beschäftigungsaussichten wurde deswegen vom Institut für Arbeitsmarktund Berufsforschung das Handbuch zu den ausbildungs-, berufsund wirtschaftszweigspezifischen Beschäftigungschancen (ABC-Handbuch) entwickelt. Das diesem Handbuch zugrundeliegende Konzept beruht auf folgenden Gesichtspunkten: ++ Es berücksichtigt die unterschiedlichen beruflichen Entschei dungssituationen, ++ es ermöglicht eine Einbeziehung der persönlichen Verhältnisse des Ratsuchenden und der Ansprüche des einzelnen an Berufs arbeit, ++ es liefert - anstelle pauschaler Aussagen - eine differenzier te Beschreibung der Risiken und Chancen auf dem Arbeitsmarkt. Neben der Vorstellung dieses Konzepts wird in diesem Beitrag das ABC-Handbuch vorgestellt und beispielhaft erläutert."
