Berufswechsel bei männlichen Erwerbspersonen in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland

Abstract

Im Rahmen der Berufsverlaufsuntersuchung des IAB wurden die männlichen Erwerbspersonen des Jahres 1970 auch nach den Berufswechseln seit 1955 gefragt. Ein Drittel gab an, in diesen Jahren mindestens einen Berufswechsel vollzogen zu haben. Die Berufswechslerquote ist umso geringer, je qualifizierter die allgemeine Schulbildung. Desgleichen nimmt der Berufswechsel mit wachsendem Status ab. Knapp die Hälfte aller Berufswechsel wurde im Alter bis zu 30 Jahren vollzogen. Drei Viertel aller Berufswechsel vollzogen sich ohne begleitende berufliche Ausbildung bzw. ohne formalisierte Einarbeitung für den neuen Beruf.
