Abstract

Το άρθρο εξετάζει τις κύριες μορφές πολιτειακών μονάδων (polities), οι οποίες έχουν καθιερωθεί στην διαχρονία της ανθρώπινης ιστορίας: τις αγέλες, τις φυλές, τις αρχηγίες και τα κράτη. Ταυτοχρόνως διαμορφώνει μία τυπολογία του διαφορικού βαθμού ασκήσεως ισχύος μιας πολιτειακής μονάδος επί προσδιορισμένων γεωγραφικών περιοχών ή ζωνών ελέγχου και της διαρθρώσεως των εν λόγω περιοχών σε ένα ενιαίο και αλληλένδετο ως προς τα επιμέρους στοιχεία του γεωπολιτικό υποσύστημα. Ακολούθως προτείνεται μία τυπολογία των σχέσεων μεταξύ των πολιτειακών μονάδων βάσει του βαθμού εξαρτήσεως και διαδράσεως (ανεξαρτησία, ηγεμονία, επικυριαρχία, κυριαρχία και αυτοκρατορία).
