Abstract

Στο άρθρο αυτό παρουσιάζεται μια πρόσφατη προσπάθεια μελέτης των επιπτώσεων από την αύξηση των τιμών της ενέργειας στην αναπτυξιακή δυναμική των περιφερειών της Ευρώπης που έγινε στα πλαίσια του προγράμματος ESPON- ReRisk (Regions at Risk of Energy Poverty). Ο στόχος του προγράμματος ReRisk, είναι ο καθορισμός των περισσότερο ευάλωτων αναπτυξιακά περιφερειών της Ευρώπης. Για τη διερεύνηση του αναπτυξιακού προφίλ των περιφερειών της Ευρώπης, πραγματοποιείται η ταξινόμηση των περιφερειών της Ευρώπης με βάση μια σειρά από κριτήρια που αφορούν το περιεχόμενο του στόχου του προγράμματος ReRisk. Η παρούσα εργασία παρουσιάζει τη μεθοδολογία που υιοθετήθηκε στο πρόγραμμα ReRisk για την ταξινόμηση των περιφερειών της Ευρώπης σε ομάδες με ομοιογενή χαρακτηριστικά έτσι ώστε η έμφαση στα πακέτα πολιτικής της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης να διαμορφώνεται με βάση τα αναπτυξιακά χαρακτηριστικά της κάθε ομάδας.
