Abstract

El objetivo de este documento es analizar el crecimiento de las Pymes desde una perspectiva enfocada en los recursos de la organización. Una característica de este tipo de unidades económicas es la carencia de recursos y el difícil acceso a ellos en los mercados. Las Pymes en países en vías de desarrollo muestran altos niveles de mortalidad. Es por ello que en la literatura se ha identificado a la estrategia de crecimiento como una oportunidad para las Pymes de incrementar sus posibilidades de supervivencia. A esto se le suma la necesidad de contar con las capacidades necesarias para poder gestionar los recursos de la empresa de tal modo que puedan generar valor. Así, la identificación de los recursos valiosos y su posterior movilización para su explotación son requisitos para que la empresa pueda crecer sin una dependencia de los factores externos.
