Abstract

The transformation process called the « Arab Spring » means the fall of the regimes incapable to adapt themselves to the new international system. This process has diverging consequences in each country, thus great powers are forced to redefine their policies towards them. These great powers try to develop new strategic ties with Middle Eastern countries and they support the actors close to them. Under these circumstances, Russia and the United States play a critical role. The post-Cold War Middle-East is finally taking shape and this process will dictate a brand new balance of power in this part of the world.
