Un modelo FDH para la medida de la eficiencia en costes de los departamentos universitarios

Abstract

Este trabajo presenta un modelo FDH para la medida de la eficiencia en costes de los departamentos universitarios. El modelo determina el coste óptimo que debería lograr un departamento dados sus niveles de producción y calidad. Posteriormente, atribuye la diferencia entre el coste observado y el óptimo a cuatro fuentes de ineficiencia. La aplicación empírica, realizada en los departamentos de la Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, revela como principal fuente de ineficiencia en costes los problemas de escala.
