Spielteoretische Konzepte in der Markt- und Preistheorie: Fortschritt oder Irrweg?

Abstract

Der Beitrag zeigt, wie moderne spieltheoretische Konzepte die traditionellen Marktmodelle auf eine einheitliche methodische Grudnlage stellen k÷nnen. Ausgehend von den unternehmerischen Preisentscheidungen in einem einfachen statischen Nash-Gleichgewicht werden mehrperiodige und mehrstufige Entscheidungsprozesse in teilspielperfekten Nash-Gleichgewichten sowie Preisentscheidungen bei unvollstõndiger Information in (perfekten) Bayes-Gleichgewichten untersucht. Sõmtliche Marktergebnisse werden auf den Homogenitõtsgrad des relevanten Marktes, auf die institutionell begr³ndete Entscheidungsabfolge sowie auf die jeweilige Informationsstruktur im Markt zur³ckgef³hrt. Akzeptiert man das Nash-Gleichgewicht einschlie▀lich der zugrundeliegenden Rationalitõtshypothese als methodisches Analyseprinzip, stellt der spieltheoretische Ansatz aufgrund seiner konzeptionellen Integrationsfõhigkeit sowie seiner universellen Anwendbarkeit eine wertvolle Bereicherung f³r die Markt- und Preistheorie dar.
