Abstract

The article presents the results of a sociological survey of the employed population, conducted in 2020, in comparison with the results of a similar study in 2009. The aim of both studies was to study the impact of the economic crisis on the state and dynamics of the Russian labor market. Both economic crises have negatively affected the living conditions of the majority of the employed population. However, if the results of the financial and economic crisis of 2008–2009 ordinary workers felt most affected, the 2020 crisis hit entrepreneurs much harder. The article was written on the basis of the RANEPA state assignment research programme.
