A questão dos objetivos nas organizações

Abstract

The aim of this article is to discuss the nature of what is known as organizational goals, that is, what they are, which factors determine themand what impact they may have on organizations and society. The discussion of these questions is done within each of five broad theoretical perspectives. The limitations and the advances of each perspectiveare pointed out as an attempt to sistematize the debate and to contribute for the building of a model of analysis in the future. It is expected that the theoretical elements of the debate on this legitima te area of researchmay be also useful for the understanding of the internal dynamic of organizations and the relationships between these and society.
