Creating Professional School Culture Through Professional Development Of Educational Leadership

Educational institutions are facing challenge of delivering services to their stakeholders through dynamic and creative teaching/learning strategies. Professional development has now become crucial for the survival of educational setups due to globalization. Educational leaders have to add value to their organization through informed decisions and creative methodologies implementation. In this research paper a sample of private schools has been taken through random sampling and data have been collected through a questionnaire from the school principals. The respondents were divided into professional and non professional educational leaders. The researcher has mainly narrated the findings of professional educational leaders who have acquired some or any kind of professional degree/certification/diploma in education as a subject in their career. Non professional educational leaders are those who have not gone through any kind of professional educational qualification during their career as school principals. Findings indicate that although professional educational leaders are aware about the value and importance of professional development but implementing those acquired skills and creating a professional school culture through that learning is still a questionable issue.
