La mobilit? degli studenti in Italia: un 'analisi empirica

Abstract

Lo scopo del presente lavoro ? indagare i fattori che determinano la mobilit? degli immatricolati alle universit? statali italiane. L?espansione del sistema di offerta e la decentralizzazione delle sedi didattiche hanno favorito una migliore accessibilit? all?istruzione universitaria, accentuando l?attenzione sui fattori che condizionano la scelta della sede universitaria da parte degli studenti. Il paper esplora l?effetto "attrattivit?" delle sedi universitarie, definita a partire dalle caratteristiche dell?offerta formativa e da quelle del contesto urbano (qualit? della vita, densit? abitativa) in cui sono ubicate. Per analizzare la relazione tra caratteristiche delle sedi universitarie e mobilit? degli studenti viene utilizzato un modello gravitazionale. Le elaborazioni mostrano che l?offerta formativa, la qualit? della vita, la disponibilit? di sussidi e la densit? abitativa influenzano positivamente la mobilit? degli studenti, mentre la distanza agisce da fattore inerziale.
