L?emergenza Covid-19: possibili lezioni per gli studiosi di management

Abstract

Le situazioni eccezionali sembrano innescare meccanismi particolari tesi a salvaguardare la sopravvivenza delle organizzazioni e delle persone che divergono dalle tradizionali teorie manageriali. L?emergenza Covid-19 ci consente di osservare questo fenomeno sia a livello di istituzioni sia a livello di persone. Nelle prime, a livello dirigenziale, sembra riscontrarsi un superamento della "trappola della burocrazia", prodotta dalla combinazione di automatismo e oggettivita delle procedure. I lavoratori, invece, in situazioni di emergenza sembrano attivare processi di motivazione diversi rispetto a quanto contemplato nei modelli teorici. Tali motivazioni sembrano discendere da fattori personali, quali l?altruismo, rafforzati dal perseguimento di un interesse chiaramente percepito come comune. Tutto cio lascia intravedere l?esistenza di notevoli spazi di gestione delle risorse umane nei quali i dirigenti pubblici possono esprimere la loro capacita di leadership.
