Citt? o area metropolitana? Il caso del Veneto nel contesto europeo

Abstract

Il dibattito sulle aree metropolitane in Italia ha almeno 40 anni. Tuttavia, ? a partire dai primi anni Novanta che esso ha assunto valenza strategica rispetto ai temi della competitivit? economica urbana e a quelli della gestione efficace dei sistemi di servizi urbani. Le diverse previsioni legislative e ipotesi di riordino territoriale sono state fino ad oggi disattese. La capacit? di avviare forme di governo metropolitano del territorio resta in ogni caso una questione chiave per il territorio centro-veneto. In tal senso, i recenti provvedimenti del Governo Italiano costituiscono una nuova importante opportunit?. L?auspicato processo di riordino istituzionale dovr? per? accompagnarsi a nuovi processi di governance territoriale alla scala metropolitana. In tal senso ? necessario la condivisione di una serie di azioni/ progetti che vedano il coinvolgimento dei principali attori economici.
