Economia globale e citt?: note introduttive su una dialettica centrale per le democrazie del XXI secolo

Abstract

L?economia globale viene spesso descritta come deterritorializzata: i territori sarebbero destinati a marginalit?, a tutto vantaggio di transazioni immateriali, coinvolgenti flussi finanziari e flussi digitali. L?immaterialit?, in modo particolare quella della finanza e del world wide web, sembra costitutiva della nostra attuale immagine del mondo. Una tale conclusione non deve tuttavia essere assolutizzata. La stessa economia globale riserva un?attenzione privilegiata alla dimensione cittadina, quale luogo strategico. E anche la citt? manifesta, dal basso, un dinamismo che la rende sorprendente attrice dei processi politici internazionali.
