Le PMI nel Nord Est prima della crisi: profitti e altre caratteristiche

Abstract

Sulla base dei dati ISTAT provenienti da un panel di imprese manifatturiere nel periodo 2001-2008, il contributo si propone di indagare se e in che misura le differenze settoriali, regionali, provinciali e dimensionali incidano sulla performance delle imprese di dimensione inferiore ai 250 addetti nel Nord Est. I risultati ottenuti sembrano confermare la sempre minore incidenza delle variabili settoriali e territoriali (localizzazione e appartenenza a sistemi distrettuali) come fattori esplicativi delle dinamiche di performance delle imprese. A parit? di altre condizioni le imprese pi? piccole hanno maggiore reddittivit?. Le variabili legate alle scelte strategiche delle imprese - investimenti, internazionalizzazione, disintegrazione verticale - hanno un?influenza sulla profittabilit? variabile a seconda della misura e dei metodi di stima adottati.
