Il reg. (UE) n. 1151/2012 sui regimi di qualit? dei prodotti agricoli e alimentari: cinquanta sfumature di valore aggiunto

Abstract

La qualit? e la variet? della produzione agricola dell?Unione europea rappresentano un punto di forza e un vantaggio competitivo importante per i produttori dell?Unione europea. La disciplina europea delle Dop, delle Igp e delle Stg, di fatto figlia della globalizzazione, attualmente ? contemplata dal reg. (UE) n. 1151/2012, il quale ha sostituito i reg. (CE) nn. 509/2006 e 510/2006, relativi (rispettivamente) alle specialit? tradizionali garantite dei prodotti agricoli e alimentari e alla protezione delle indicazioni geografiche e delle denominazioni d?origine dei prodotti agricoli e alimentari. Attraverso il reg. (UE) n. 1151/2012, che ? soltanto uno dei risultati del processo di revisione della politica di qualit? dei prodotti agricoli europei, la razionalizzazione degli schemi di certificazione del settore agroalimentare ? stata realizzata mediante l?introduzione di alcune novit? volte a rafforzare i regimi di qualit? dei prodotti agricoli europei, quali, in particolare, una nuova disciplina delle Stg e l?introduzione di un nuovo regime di qualit? costituito dalle c.d. indicazioni facoltative di qualit?. Sussistono, tuttavia, forti dubbi circa la capacit? del sistema, cos? come congegnato dal reg. (UE) n. 1151/2012, di garantire ai prodotti agroalimentari europei la competitivit? di cui necessitano sul mercato, anche a livello internazionale
