Note: [English Title] Informal Labour Use in Tourism-Led Development: The Case of Marmaris [English Abstract] With the crisis of capital accumulation, in the mid-1970's, production and labour processes has been re-organized spatially and technologically on the world scale. In parallel with this development the use of informal labour in different sectors of the economy has become widespread once again but in a new spatial, institutional and historical setting. In this article we tried to analyze infırmal labour use in torusim sector, ehich is a local example of global phenomenon. We used data of more extensive field research Marmaris's tourism sector to show an example for the spreading informalization processes in the economy in terms of labour use as a form of labour control to overcome the crisis of accumulation. The analysis has been drawn upon a new conceptualisation of informality that is "registered informality". Overcoming the crisis of accumulation relies on devaluation of labour surpluses more than ever by flexibilisation of labour processes, keeping wages low, and weakening labour's organisation. This situation leads to spreading informal labour use in different sectors of the economy. The working conditions and characteristics of labour market in Marmaris is the reflection of this global phenomenon. In this analysis, formality implies more than being registered and informality implies more than not being registered. It is argued that formal and informal levels are two interwined processes at work. Therefore concepts such as informal sector/formal sector, informal economy/formal economy, informal employment/formal employment are not used because they give thewrong impression as if they are separated levels from each other. Instead, we used new conceptualisation that is "registered informality" to be able to include the situation of being registered as well.
