Note: [English Title] THE EFFICIENCY OF ECONOMIC POLICIES DURING 1950-80 PERIODS IN TURKEY [English Abstract] In this study, It is examined the e{jiciency of economic policies which were enforced during I950-80 period in Turkey applying Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA). The period we examined in this study is divided into two sub-periods: 1950- 60 sub period which is named DP, and implemented relatively liberal pnlicies and /961-80 sub-period which is named KP, and implemented Keynesian policies and which Development Plans conduct the whole economy. lt was compared the efficiency of policies implemented each sub-periods. In this comparison, lt was employed DEA using foreign trade, monetary and jiscal policies as inputs and inflation, foreign exchange, growth rate, GNP, development, GDP per capita as outputs. Data us ed in this study was taken from TUİK database. It was concluded that DP sub period is mure efficient info issues of conflicting injlation, generating GNP, determining foreign exchange rate, and fighting unemployment than KP sub-periods.
